BCCI Pays Fee to Players for West Indies & Sri Lanka Tour

Indian cricketers, including captain Virat Kohli, have been paid their match fees, tour fee and retentions ship fee for the tour of Windies and Sri Lanka.

India travelled to Windies after the completion of ICC Champions Trophy while the side landed in Sri Lanka in a couple of weeks after facing the Windies.

India played a total of five ODIs and one T20I against the Windies. The visiting side won the ODI series by 3-1 while lost the sole T20I. In Sri Lanka, India had played three Tests, five ODIs and one T20I.

Virat Kohli-led team won all the nine contests on the Sri Lankan soil and came back with all the boxes ticked.

The players who have been paid fee for these tours are Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, Dinesh Karthik and Shardul Thakur.

Karthik was not the part of the India side for Sri Lanka tour while Bumrah, Chahal and Shardul did not go to Windies.

Captain Kohli has been paid an amount of Rs 1,64,41,450 while Dhawan got an amount of Rs 1,24,16,644.

Ashwin and Jadeja, who are not a part of the limited-overs side now, have been paid Rs 1,08,56,676 and Rs 88,25,497,, respectively.

Bumrah and Chahal have been paid an amount of Rs 43,07,087 and 36,92,544, respectively. Karthik has received Rs 30,19,279 while Shardul has been paid an amount of Rs 28,82,544. Dhawan has also received his two previous balances.

He has also been paid an amount of Rs 35,20,399, as fees for the tour of Windies and the USA in 2016.

Along with that, BCCI has also paid him Rs 30,67,843, as prize money for ICC Test ranking reward by the board. Other players are yet to receive the prize money for ICC Test ranking.

Meanwhile, BCCI paid cash rewards to India U19 cricketers for triumph in junior World Cup. Each player has been paid Rs 27 Lakh as prize money.

India U19 defeated Australia U19 in the final of the tournament by eight wickets to clinch the title for the fourth time.
