One of the underrated cricketers in India, Manoj Tiwary has been named as the captain of Bengal Cricket. Now, he is will lead his state team in the domestic season of 2018-19.

It is an honour and privilege: Manoj Tiwary:
The classy right-handed batsman once again shared his disappointment. The selectors didn’t pick Tiwary in India-A or Duleep Trophy squads. Despite all of them, Tiwary takes the privilege to lead Bengal.
Manoj Tiwary has been the consistent run-scorer for his side in the previous season. Despite scoring big tallies, selectors overlooked him each time, However, Tiwary added that he is happy for the new role.
“Yes, I am disappointed at not being picked for any of the Duleep Trophy teams. But I have never asked to be relieved of the responsibility of captaincy. Leading Bengal is an honour and privilege, and I am always ready to take up the challenge,” he said after the selection committee meeting.
However, it has been a nice gesture from the Bengal cricket for their run machine. Manoj Tiwary has already done enough services to Bengal and hopefully, he will lead the team from the front again.
