'Bhag puji..": Rohit Sharma Posts Hilarious Reply To Cheteshwar Pujara's Birthday Message

India batting star Rohit Sharma had a hilarious reply to Cheteshwar Pujara’s birthday message. The right-handed batsman celebrated his 33rd birthday on Thursday (April 30). As expected, India’s limited-overs vice captain was flooded with birthday messages on the special day.

Not only the fans but cricketers from around the world also wished Rohit Sharma. And on Friday, Rohit Sharma decided to thank most of the cricketers separately on Twitter.  He had an unique response for most of his India teammates but the best one was definitely for Cheteshwar Pujara.

While thanking the Test batting star, Rohit Sharma hilariously wrote: “Thanks puji bro. Bhaag puji puji bhaag”

Rohit’s reply was inspired by the hilarious incident that took place during the Test series against South Africa last year. During the first Test in Vizag, Rohit Sharma was caught on the stump mic swearing at Pujara. He was frustrated when Pujara declined a single and ended up telling his teammate: “‘Puji bhag bhen***d’ ”

Meanwhile, both Pujara and Rohit are currently at their homes as cricket action all around the world is suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. If note for the pandemic, Rohit Sharma would have been playing in the IPL while Pujara would have been plying his trade in county cricket in UK.

Earlier this month, the BCCI suspended the IPL indefinitely in the light of the pandemic. On the other hand, Pujara’s deal with Gloucestershire for the first six matches of the County Championship was cancelled too. The county championship Division one was scheduled to start on April 12 before it was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
