Former Australian left-arm wrist spinner, Brad Hogg has picked his all-time IPL XI and named Virat Kohli as the skipper of his team. Virat Kohli has been the most successful batsman in the 12-year long history of the cash-rich tournament as he is the all-time leading run-0scorer.
However, his captaincy record hasn’t been impressive in the IPL as he hasn’t won any title so far with the franchise as the skipper. He took over Royal Challengers Bangalore‘s captaincy in 2013. However, the team hasn’t quite matched up to its standards, and their trophy cabinet still awaits the piece of silverware.

Hence, Brad Hogg has surprised everyone with his decision of appointing Kohli as the skipper of his team. However, Brad Hogg’s all-time IPL XI has a serious amount of talent on offer.
Brad Hogg Names His All-Time IPL XI
Brad Hogg picked David Warner and Rohit Sharam as the openers of his team. Warner (4706 runs) is one of the most consistent openers in IPL while Rohit also has an impressive record (4898 runs) in the league. Virat Kohli follows the two explosive openers on number three.

Rishabh Pant, who has scored 1736 runs in 54 IPL matches, will bat at number four. RCB’s star batsman over the years and the Superman of Cricket, AB de Villiers sits at the fifth spot in Brad Hogg’s XI. The right-handed batsman has 4395 runs in 154 matches at a strike-rate of 151.23. Dhoni, who will also keep wickets, follows De Villiers.
Sunil Narine And Rashid Khan Form The Spin Duo In Brad Hogg’s XI
Besides, Hogg picked Suni Narine and Rashid Khan as his frontline spinners. He also included Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Munaf Patel in his pace attack. Munaf’s name on the list was a bit surprising. He did scalp 74 wickets in 63 matches but mostly sat out of playing XI after 2012.

Brad Hogg’s all-time IPL XI: David Warner, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (Captain), Rishabh Pant, AB de Villiers, MS Dhoni (WK), Sunil Narine, Rashid Khan, Munaf Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah
