Left-arm chinaman bowler Brad Hogg expects South Africa to go ahead and sledge David Warner further regarding wife Candice throughout the series. Hogg reckons De Kock and co. touched a ‘sweet’ spot with Warner.

During the Tea interval on Day 4 of Durban Test match, De Kock and Warner exchanged verbals en route to the dressing room. The CCTV footage caught and enraged Warner giving a mouthful to the young wicketkeeper-batsman.

It was later revealed that Quinton de Kock got personal and spoke ill of Warner’s wife, Candice. The left arm chinaman bowler now expects South Africa to get under Warner’s skin by barbing him over his wife.

Brad Hogg anticipates further personal barbs on David Warner rest of the series

As far as I’m concerned you don’t say anything about someone’s family, it’s all about one-on-one, about that particular person or how they’re playing in the middle,” opined Brad Hogg while speaking to Fox Sports.

To be frank, South Africa have found a little sweet spot with David Warner. They’ve opened up a can of worms here,” added Hogg.

I think they’ll be trying to nag him in the next three Test matches about his wife now, or they’ll try and say something concerning Candice in the next three Test matches which is slightly getting under David Warner’s skin,” Hogg said.

Moreover, Hogg believes that it is out of character for someone like Quinton de Kock to initiate a spat. Hogg claimed that the young Protean is usually very quiet.

He’s a very quiet character, nothing really phases de Kock and I’m surprised that de Kock would say something about someone else’s wife,” continued the 47-year old, T20 specialist.

However, David Warner is renowned for his altercations with opponents. The West Australian, then, recalls an incident during T20 World Cup in Bangladesh, 2014. Warner got into verbals with him while playing tennis.

He wound me up with the verbals and I wasn’t trying to beat him, I was trying to hit him with a tennis ball,” concluded Brad Hogg.
