Zimbabwe batsman Brendan Taylor has said that the team is looking forward to the Bangladesh challenge. Zimbabwe will travel to Bangladesh in a few days for a tour that consists of one Test, three ODIs, and two T20Is. As this is an away series, Brendan Taylor has said that they are aware of the threat that Bangladesh possess at home game and Zimbabwe will be conscious enough to leave no room for error.

Zimbabwe recently played Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series. The first game of the series was won by the visitors comprehensively. However, Zimbabwe bounced back in the second Test and ended it on a draw. Bangladesh, on the other hand, travelled to Pakistan to play a single test match and lost it by an innings and 44 runs.

Brendan Taylor Says That Zimbabwe Looks Forward To Bangladesh Series

“We have had two good Test matches that went five days against Sri Lanka. We took a lot of positives from that. Hopefully, we can carry that on to the first Test (against Bangladesh),” Taylor told reporters. “Bangladesh have always been very difficult to… (beat) here. We know what we are up against… But we look forward to it,” said the 34-year-old Taylor.

Bangladesh are currently in a bad run of form in Tests. They have lost their last six matches, three of them by an innings margin, but Taylor knows that they can be a deadly opposition at their home.

“I think they always play well at home. That’s their comfort zone, where they thrive… and always have a good record,” he said.

Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will lock horns for the first Test from February 22 at Dhaka. Craig Ervine will lead Zimbabwe in place of regular captain Sean Williams. Williams will spend time with his family for the birth of his child.
