Brett Lee, the former Australian fast bowler, has urged India and RCB skipper Virat Kohli to enjoy his cricket without taking too much pressure on himself in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League.

The 13th edition of the cash-rich league will take place in the United Arab Emirates and it will be another opportunity for Virat Kohli and his team to win the elusive title that has alluded them thus far.

While Virat has been the cornerstone of the batting-unit alongside AB de Villiers, he hasn’t been able to replicate the same success when it comes to captaincy. Kohli has been leading the franchise since 2013 but barring the 2016 season where RCB finished as the runners-up, the Bengaluru-based franchise has seen more lows than ups in the past six years.

“I just want Kohli to go out there and enjoy his cricket, take all the pressure off himself as a captain and player,” Brett Lee said on Star Sports’ Cricket Connected chat show.

“Because he is so good at that level, I think sometimes with all the pressure going around in the team, people are failing, he tries to get all the players on his back and tries to carry them. All the RCB squad should help out in taking all the pressure off Kohli.” Brett Lee added.
