The stylish southpaw of the Indian team Yuvraj Singh and the legendary West Indian Chris Gayle have always been great friends off the field and they loved to pull legs of each other. In the latest, Gayle trolled Yuvraj for his Test match kind of a knock in the 10-over Bushfire Cricket Bash at the Junction Oval in Melbourne.

Yuvraj was among the host of legends who took part in the recently-concluded Bushfire charity match which was played on Sunday (February 9). The charity game was organised by Cricket Australia (CA) to raise fundings for the victims of the Australian bushfires which has left the whole country devastated.

Yuvraj and legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar were the only former Indian cricketers to take part in the ten-over game which was played between Ponting XI and the Gilchrist XI.

While Yuvraj was a part of the Gilchrist XI in the game, Sachin acted as the coach of the Ponting XI. The duo joined legends like Ricky Ponting, Matthew Hayden, Brett Lee and Brian Lara, Wasim Akram for the friendly game.

It’s not a Test Match Yuvi – Chris Gayle

Interestingly, Yuvraj scored just two runs off six balls facing Brett Lee in the middle. Highlighting the same, Gayle posted the picture of Yuvraj and asked him to take Brett Lee to the cleaners.

Surprisingly, just after the post, Yuvraj tried to clear fence but ended up giving a catch to Alex Blackwell in the deep.

It becomes important here that Gayle and Yuvraj share a nice bond for quite a few years now. They both shared dressing room during their stint with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in Indian Premier League (IPL).

Yuvraj retired from international cricket in 2019. He appeared in 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20Is amassing over 11,000 international runs. He also picked up 148 wickets in int’l cricket.

On the other hand, Gayle is still going strong for the West Indies and his franchises.

I just love what I script. Over the years, Cricket has been my passion and crisping articles on it gives me an immense pleasure...Cheers...!!!
