India’s World Cup triumph in 2011 came with a special performance from star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who was suffering from cancer but didn’t let that life-threatening disease affect his game and he was named as the man of the tournament performing outstandingly with bat and ball.

But it wasn’t really a one-man show, as bowlers too played their part in securing the coveted title after 28 years. The life after that huge victory has not been the same for every member of the team that was there, as a part of that team.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the then captain is now facing outrage from critics from across the cricketing fraternity over his match-finishing skills, whereas the newcomer back then, Virat Kohli is scaling new heights in international cricket every passing day, leading team India in all three formats of the game.

In the bowling department, to accompany Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra, there were the likes of S. Sreesanth and Munaf Patel, later on, Zaheer announced retirement from international cricket, whereas Ashish Nehra once again injured himself.

Talking about Sreesanth, he was accused in IPL spot fixing case back in 2013 but Munaf Patel injured himself and was never considered for a comeback after that.

Recently a news came in, where a cheque issued by a firm in which, the UP-born fast bowler is a member of directors, got bounced and he was summoned for the same by the court after the complainant filed a complaint.

On, Tuesday (19 September) Rahul Chamola, a director in that firm was handed a two-day police custody by Metropolitan Magistrate Manisha Tripathy, who allowed a custodial interrogation of Chamola.

Complainant’s lawyer, Vijay Aggarwal stated that his client Sunil Kumar Aggarwal paid a huge amount of money for booking flat in Greater Noida housing project — Oneleaf Troy. The deal eventually got canceled but while returning the money, the cheques issued by the firm got dishonored.
