Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali has made a special request to Mushfiqur Rahim during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL). Hasan has requested Rahim to join Bangladesh for the remainder of the tour of Pakistan. This came after, Windies star Carlos Brathwaite stated ‘Pakistan is a safe country’ and told Ali that Rahim should visit Pakistan.
Notably, Mushfiqur had refused to travel to Pakistan along with the Bangladesh team for a tour that comprised two Tests, three T20Is, and One-off ODI.

Recently, Rahim further went on to decline a PSL offer and remarked that he does not want to visit Pakistan in near time due to security reasons.
Well, in the first leg, Bangladesh lost the T20 series by 2-0 and suffered a defeat in the first of the two Tests by an innings and 44 runs. They are slated to play a One-off ODI on April three and the second Test will commence from April five at the National Stadium, Karachi.
Hasan Ali And Carlos Brathwaite On Mushfiqur Rahim:
Hasan Ali, who is currently playing for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 2020, stated in the post-match conference after his side’s narrow win over Islamabad United, “Carlos Brathwaite asked me today why Mushfiqur Rahim is not coming to Pakistan. I told him that I am not sure but I do think he should come as his team is also coming here. Brathwaite’s view was that he should come to Pakistan as it’s a safe country.”

Asia Cup 2020 To Be Held At A Neutral Venue:
Although Pakistan claims of being a safe country, neighbours India still don’t want to visit the nation marred with terrorism.
As a result, the Asia Cup has now been shifted to a neutral venue after India’s denial to participate if the tournament takes place in Pakistan as PCB had the rights to conduct it this year.

India have suspended all of their bilateral ties with Pakistan and were set to boycott the Asia Cup in case the latter would have hosted it.
PCB chief Ehsan Mani has admitted that since India’s non-participation wouldn’t enable the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), to generate as many funds as with the Men in Blue — the event will be held at a neutral venue, to ensure all of the teams in the continent participate.
