Cars Carrying Tamil Nadu League Cricketers Fall of the Bridge, One Dies

A young local Tamil Nadu league cricketer aged 26 years lost his life after two cars carrying the league players collided with each other and fell off a bridge. The incident happened near the Paramathi Valur in Namakkal district on Monday evening.
Identification of the deceased is done and that his name was D Prabhakaran of Thanjavur.
All the players were traveling to Namakkal district to take part in a match for the occasion of the Pongal festival. The incident happened when Prabhakar and eight others were going to Paramathi Velur in a couple of cars to accommodate themselves in a hotel. However, it wasn’t to be as something else were written in their fate.
Police clarified that both the drivers of the cars were driving in a rash manner. Just as they neared Kandamapalyam, a woman suddenly crossed the Salem-Madurai National Highway. To avoid hitting her, the drivers of one of the cars Rajkumar applied the breaks, and the next was pretty inevitable. The other car rammed into it from behind and a result both cars fell off the bridge. Prabhakaran was the only player who died on the spots while others sustained injuries.
