Indian Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara is one of the greatest Test batsmen of all time and is arguably amongst the tailormade Test player of this era. Having made his debut in 2010, Cheteshwar Pujara has 5840 runs in 77 Tests at an average of 46.19. The 32-year old took to Twitter on finishing a decade of international cricket and also wished his wife a happy birthday.

The 77 Tests include 18 centuries and 25 fifties alongside a best of 206 not out. He made his first appearance in whites against Australia in the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore in October 2010. While he failed in the first innings, the right-handed batsman made his chance count in the second by top-scoring 72 as the hosts gunned down a fourth-innings target of 207 successfully.

Following that, Pujara made himself as the bedrock of the Indian Test side, proving himself as a worthy replacement for Rahul Dravid at number three. Currently, he is gearing himself for the upcoming Test tour of Australia, that includes four Tests against a full-strength Australian side. The Saurashtra batsman received the man of the series award the last time the men in blue visited down under.

He clubbed 521 runs in four Tests with three centuries, averaging 74.43 as India recorded their first Test series victory in Australia. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will likely get underway with a pink-ball Test in Adelaide. India will have an uphill task in upstaging the Baggy Greens or the number one Test tea, since the likes of Steve Smith, Marnus Labushcagne, and David Warner would be present, unlike the last time.
