Former Royal Challengers Bangalore opener, Chris Gayle, recently joined the army of well-wishers of recently retired AB de Villiers.

Both Gayle and De Villiers are known to be great friends due to their stints at Bangalore since 2011 until the 2017 season. With Gayle, ABD, Kohli and Starc, RCB had an all-star look to their side, overawing cricket fans for all these years.

It was during the auctions of 2018 IPL that the two had to part ways as they decided to let go of the Universal Boss. Kings XI Punjab’s Virender Sehwag swooped in to buy Gayle on the second day of the auctions, going unsold on the first day.

However, through his gestures to Kohli and Chahal when RCB played KXIP this season, it was clear that Gayle was still close to his former teammates.
