Chris Gayle Is Probably The Greatest T20 Player Ever: Mandeep Singh

Kings XI Punjab batsman Mandeep Singh was involved in a match-winning partnership with Chris Gayle against Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah. The duo added 100 for the second wicket to ace a tricky chase of 150 as Kings XI Punjab registered the fifth victory on the trot and sixth overall in IPL 2020. Following the same, Mandeep Singh hailed Chris Gayle as the greatest T20 player ever.
Chris Gayle is a veteran of 409 T20s, having played the shortest format all over the world for different franchises. In 409 T20s, the Jamaican has 13473 runs along with 22 centuries and 84 half-centuries and a best of 175 not out. On Monday, Gayle secured the man of the match award for his breezy knock of 51 from 29 deliveries to hand KXIP the fourth position in the IPL 2020 points table.

Mandeep Singh, who struck an unbeaten 66, firmly stated that Chris Gayle should never retire, being always in great touch. The right-handed batsman observed that Gayle hardly struggles and is probably the best T20 player of all time.
“He (Gayle) should never retire. He is always in great touch. I have never seen him struggle. He is probably the greatest T20 player ever,” Mandeep told in the post-match press conference.

“Today the coach asked the senior players, we need to step up in crucial games, I am glad we were able to put my hand up. And the youngsters in the team are telling me, don’t retire,” Gayle told in the post-match presentation after winning the man of the match award.
