Indian National Cricket team head coach Ravi Shastri has finally opened up on the rumour going around about clash of personalities between former skipper MS Dhoni and current captain Virat Kohli. Meanwhile, the clash of personalities is nothing new in team sports, and it has its history. However, as per reports, everything is not okay between Kohli and Dhoni, and they are very different from each other going by their personality.

The cricketing world has seen MS Dhoni as someone who is cool and keeps his composure when on the cricket field. He hardly expresses his emotions while on the other hand, Virat Kohli likes to show himself on the pitch. He is an aggressive leader who believes in giving back to his opponents. However, so far there has not been any feud between the two in the field. Kohli has been very sporting and has often sought advice from Dhoni in crucial situations. Dhoni has also come up and helped the bowlers and Kohli with important suggestions time and again. Virat Kohli recently after a game admitted that he had a chat with MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma before taking a call. Besides, the cricketing legend has also helped Kohli grow as a leader over the years.

Each has their own style

In a chat with TOI, Ravi Shastri was quizzed about the clash of personalities between the two senior cricketers. The India coach has for once, and all settled the debate saying that both have mutual respect for each other. Shastri also said that both of them are different from each other and mutual respect is what you want as a coach.

Each one has his own style and each one is different. When you mention Virat and MS, yes, they are different, the way they play and the way they captain. MS was the senior man when Virat was coming through the ranks. Virat gave him the respect he deserved. Now MS is not the captain, Virat is, so MS does the same thing. The mutual respect for each other is massive and that’s all you want as coach,” Ravi Shastri said.

Meanwhile with the World Cup only three months away, the management will want both their favourite sons to work together and bring another glory for their country.
