There are reports of a conflict in the Indian Women Team after the Asia Cup loss, as per the ESPN Cricinfo. The women team’s recent performances haven’t been up to the mark. Thus, it has played its part in growing frustration within the Indian camp.

Indian women team had lost the home series against Australia and England.

Furthermore, the Asia Cup final loss in the final against Bangladesh has added salt to the injury.

In fact, this was the first time that women’s team was not able to defend its Asia Cup title, this time around.

This is the not a good news for Indian Women Cricket.

On Wednesday (June 27), chief coach Tushar Arothe wasn’t invited to the meeting attended by white-ball captains Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur respectively.

The discussion also involved Committee of Administrators (CoA) head Vinod Rai and member Diana Edulji.

In fact, the relationship between coach Arothe and the team members was healthy till the successful South African tour.

However, the poor performance in the One-day International series against Australia and Twenty20 International tri-series against Australia and England have led to disharmony.

Players have a different opinion regarding the Training session.

Furthermore, one of the reasons for the disintegration of the Women team is the training methods. There are two compulsory training sessions of approximately two-and-a-half-hour each in the morning and late afternoon.

Moreover, there is also an optional afternoon training session. These training sessions are held with the vision – to improve the skills of all the players.

However, the Indian women players want to partake in one long session to go with their gym session. Thus, these points were part of the discussion in the recently held meeting.

One more point for discord is the exclusion of 17-year-old batswoman Jemimah Rodrigues.

The right-handed batter did not receive any chance in Asia Cup after she failed to impress in the nets.

Consequently, the Indian Women team will hope to sort out their differences sooner than later as the upcoming World T20I is just five months away.
