Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has added another big achievement to his name as the legendary wicket-keeper batter surpassed Quinton de Kock’s previous record of 207 catches to become the leading catch holder behind the stumps in T20 cricket.

During the ongoing match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2023, MS Dhoni caught Aiden Markram off Maheesh Theekshana’s bowling to get past De Kock’s figure. Before the match both the men were tied together with 207 catches behind the stumps but Markram’s dismissal now puts Dhoni ahead in the race.

The duo of MS Dhoni and Quinton De Kock are being closely followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik who has 205 catches to his name, finishing as only the third wicket-keeper to have more than 200 catches in T20 cricket.
