CSK CEO Gives Massive Update On Dwayne Bravo Injury

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have stumbled to the bottom half of the table in the IPL 2020. The CSK franchise have failed to impress in the tournament. Their veteran players Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina missed out on the IPL 2020 but the franchise did not opt for any replacement.
West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo suffered a groin injury in the previous match for CSK against Delhi Capitals. As a result, captain MS Dhoni had decided to hand the final over to Ravindra Jadeja. The injury comes as a major blow for CSK and the franchise CEO said that he could miss out on the tournament for at lease couple of weeks.

“We will get the reports by today evening and then the team management will have a fair idea with regards to the extent of Bravo’s injury. As of now, I can only say that it can either be a couple of games or a couple of weeks,” he said.
“I don’t think a replacement is an option at this stage because if a new person comes in, it will again be about having a quarantine period for him before he can join the rest of the squad. It is unlikely that we will look at a replacement for Bravo if he is out. But firstly we are hoping Bravo isn’t out and the injury isn’t major,” he said.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will host Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the match no. 37 of IPL 2020 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday. The result for the match will have a large bearing on both the teams. CSK will need to win all their matches to qualify for the playoffs while Rajasthan Royals will also look to stay alive with a victory.
Rajasthan Royals have lost their previous matches by close margins. However a big positive for them will be that Steve Smith has returned back to form and Robin Uthappa has done well at the top of the order. The Jaipur franchise will once again bank on Jofra Archer to get them off to a good start. Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag will be important in the side.
