Former Australia batsman Dean Jones has taken yet another hilarious dig at Royal Challengers Bangalore star Parthiv Patel. The two were recently involved in a hilarious banter on Twitter with the wicketkeeper-batsman having the last laugh. It all started when Jones cheekily questioned Royal Challengers Bangalore’s decision to retain Parthiv Patel.
Parthiv Patel then came up with a fitting reply, telling Jones: “So that u can be at peace during ipl in #selectdugout….” Parthiv was one of the positives for Royal Challengers Bangalore in an otherwise yet another dismal campaign. Royal Challengers Bangalore once again failed to live up to the expectations and finished at the bottom of the points table. They started disastrously and lost the first six games of the campaign. They did improve towards the end of the season but the damage was already done.
The Bangalore-based outfit eventually finished the campaign with the wooden spoon after winning just five of their 14 league games. But unlike the team, Parthiv Patel was a consistent performer during the season. The left-handed batsman finished the campaign with 373 runs. He was the third highest run-scorer for the team.
Jones risks annoying Parthiv Patel again:
Dean Jones’ latest tweet for Parthiv is set to annoy the latter. Jones was responding to a fan’s tweet when he had a laugh at Parthiv’s expense. The fan asked Jones about the opening combination for Royal Challengers in the next season of IPL. In reply, Jones wrote:
“I think @parthiv9 is too small ! ?????”

Royal Challengers, meanwhile, will be looking to do well in the forthcoming season. They have not progressed ahead of the league stage since making it to the final in 2016. The Royal Challengers are yet to win the IPL and will be desperate to lay their hands on the trophy next year.
