Veteran India wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni is widely considered as one of the shrewdest brains of modern day game. Not only Indian players but overseas players have also lauded Dhoni’s reading of the game. Time and again, one has seen the former India skipper giving tips and suggestions to others. But recently Kuldeep Yadav caused a stir by saying that even the legendary player makes mistakes sometimes.

Kuldeep made the remarks in jest when asked whether he had questioned the World Cup-winning captain about his tips. The chinaman had even gone on to say that one cannot say anything to Dhoni even if the latter gives wrong tips.

“There are a lot of times he (Dhoni) goes wrong but then you can’t say that to him,” Kuldeep had told the media on the sidelines of the CEAT Cricket Rating Awards.

At the same time, the left-arm spinner had also said that Dhoni is someone who puts forward his views in between overs only when he feels it is required.

“Zyada baat nahi karte woh (he doesn’t speak much). He speaks only between overs if he thinks he needs to point out something,” added Kuldeep.

As expected, Kuldeep was all over the news for his comments on Dhoni as many fans even slammed him. Time and again, we have seen Dhoni giving advises to Kuldeep and Yuzvendra Chahal and thus the comment had taken many by surprise.

And with the matter getting out of hands now, Kuldeep took to Instagram to slam the media for their ‘made up controversies’. He clarified that he didn’t give any inappropriate comments about anyone, writing:

“Here we go for another made up controversy by our media who loves to make tangy rumours for no reason. Just want on to throw some light on the issue that has been proliferated by some people that the news is totally false. I didn’t give any inappropriate statement about anyone. #Much respect Mahi bhai.”
