ECB Names All-Time Men's Test Playing XI of England.

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the best all-time unit of Men’s Test playing XI of England as the hosts will be playing their overall 1000th Test match on August 1 at Edgbaston in Birmingham against India.
Owing to the five-match Test series, three Lions skipper Joe Root would be aiming to deliver big in the historic Test match, this week.

Moreover, England cricket fans have voted for best-ever Test XI to celebrate this milestone. The fans across the country got the opportunity to pick this best Test XI.
In such a progress, there were around 100 contestants in the voting process. The players ranging from WG Grace in the 1880s to present skipper of England Joe Root grabbed the eyeballs following their remarkable show while representing their nation.
Around 6000, England fans took part in this unique survey. Also, it took two weeks to the English cricket board in order to complete the voting process.

With some selections coming down to only three votes, the official nation’s best-ever England men’s Test XI is mentioned below:

4. Kevin Pietersen
5. Joe Root
6. Sir Ian Botham

Among the present England Team, Alastair Cook, Root, and James Anderson managed to make into best playing XI for England.
On the third day of Specsavers Test against India, the team will celebrate this moment with a day of activity. The celebration will take place in Edgbaston on Friday (August 3).

While reacting to the results of the two-week poll, the present skipper of England, Root said,
“To be selected in the best-ever England men’s Test XI side by cricket fans across the country is incredibly humbling.”
“When I think of some of the incredible players who haven’t made the cut, legends of the game such as Denis Compton and Wally Hammond,” he added.
“I am not sure I would have voted for myself, but I certainly want to thank the fans for thinking of me,” he concluded.
