International Cricket Council (ICC) cleared Hong Kong’s off-spinner Ehsan Khan’s bowling action. Previously, ICC reported his action during the ICC World Cup Qualifier fixture against Afghanistan on March 8.
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old Ehsan has played 12 ODIs and 4 T20Is for Hong Kong. He has impressed all in this short spell. Also, he has picked 23 ODI and 6 T20I wickets and is handy with the bat in the lower order.
ICC released a statement:
ICC in a statement has now stated that Ehsan Khan has a legal bowling action. Further, he can continue his bowling.
“As per Article 3.6.2 of the ICC Illegal Bowling Regulations, Ehsan’s bowling action was filmed in the next match he played after being reported, which was against Zimbabwe on Saturday, and the video footage of his bowling spells were provided to the Event Panel of Helen Bayne and Mark King, who are both members of the ICC Panel of Human Movement Specialists, for analysis and assessment,” the ICC said in a release. “The Event Panel concluded on Sunday that Ehsan Khan employs a legal bowling action, and, as such, he can continue bowling in international cricket,” it added.
