Ellyse Perry. What is that first thing that comes to your mind when you hear or read about the Australian all-rounder? A brilliant bowler? Swashbuckling batswoman? Champion athlete? Heartthrob of a millions of fans around the world?
Well! Ellyse Perry is an amalgamation of all of them. One of the greatest ever cricketers to have ever played this beautiful game, Perry has been the poster girl of not only Australian cricket but women cricket in general.

And, she has a lot of fans in the cricketing fraternity as well. Former Indian opener Murali Vijay had recently revealed that if he has to pick two cricketers with whom he would like to go for dinner, it would be Shikhar Dhawan and Ellyse Perry.
“Ellyse Perry. I want to have dinner with her. She is so beautiful. And Shikhar Dhawan any day. He is a fun guy. Just that he will speak Hindi and I will be conversing in Tamil,” Vijay had told Chennai Super Kings.

Perry has now responded to Vijay’s wish. The champion Australian all-rounder thanked Vijay for his kind words besides cheekily asking if he’d pay the bill.
“I hope he’s paying. That’s very kind of him. I’m flattered,” Perry told Sony Sports India.
Its been a tough year for Ellyse Perry. The Australian all-rounder had to miss out from the T20 World Cup final against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, courtesy the hamstring injury that she suffered during the league-stage encounter against New Zealand.
Australia, however, ensured that they didn’t miss Perry much as they shellacked the Women in Blue in front of a record crowd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to retain their T20 World Cup title. Perry was in the dug-out during the finals and post her sides’ title-winning heist, she was not able to hold her tears; an image that would forever be impinged in the cricketing folklore.
