Jasprit Bumrah had a dream return to Team India as he bagged seven wickets including a fifer to guide India bounce back in the five-match Test series against England at Trent Bridge.
Meanwhile, the side did a 360-degree turnaround and presented a brilliant show. Especially the batsmen put in a much-improved effort to put runs into the scoreboard. Skipper Virat Kohli once again led from the front backing his first innings score of 97 with an excellent century in the second essay.
Another notable mention was Hardik Pandya, who backed his outstanding spell with a half-century with the bat. However, it was Jasprit Bumrah, who returned from injury with a five-wicket haul. He was magical in the last session of day four as he brought almost on the verge of winning.
However, the England tailenders resisted well to stretch the game to the last day. However, the Indian bowlers didn???t waste much time to finish things off in the morning session. Ravichandran Ashwin did the honours as India won the match by 203 runs.
Jasprit Bumrah to cherish this spell lifelong
The young India pacer made an immediate mark returning from injury. He stood up to the trust shown by his skipper Virat Kohli. He bagged two wickets in the first innings and returned with a five-wicket haul in the second essay to push India on the verge of winning.
When the going got tough for India, Jasprit Bumrah provided the much-needed breakthrough removing Jos Buttler. England batsman looked all set scoring his debut hundred, but Bumrah trapped him right in front. He sends back Jonny Bairstow packing in the very next ball of the same over.
Furthermore, he once came back to remove Stuart Broad to complete his fifer. Jasprit Bumrah termed this as a complete team effort and noted that he would remember this forever.
???Team work makes the dream work. Brilliant team effort to clinch the win and a fifer to cherish forever,??? the tweet read.
