Former England skipper Michael Vaughan sarcastic tweet didn’t go down well with the Indian fans on the social media platform. Vaughan had said that Indian team is a little better than the Australian team.
Meanwhile, England was able to obliterate Australia by 5-0 in the ODI series. However, Eoin Morgan led team lost the first match against India as the visitors were right on the money.
Kuldeep Yadav took five wickets in the opening match. In fact, the chinaman spin bowler took three wickets in one over to wreak havoc in the English batting line-up.
Thus, Michael Vaughan took to Twitter to share his opinion on the match. Vaughan said that Kuldeep Yadav is causing absolute chaos. Furthermore, the former right-hander added that Indian team is a little better than the Australian team.
However, this left the Indian fans a bit fuming on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the visitors ticked the right boxes in the opening match. KL Rahul scored a fine century to take his team over the line. Rahul scored 101 off just 54 balls to play a match-winning knock.
Thus, it was a complete performance from the tourists as they won by a margin of eight wickets and 10 balls to spare. India will aim to continue their good form going to seal the series. On the other hand, England will look to make a comeback to keep themselves alive in the three-match series.
The second T20I will be played at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff today.
