Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag wants an unchanged India XI for the fourth of the five-match Test series at the Ages Bowl starting from August 30 (Thursday).

Meanwhile, India bounced back at Trent Bridge to beat England by 203 runs. They took just 17 balls on day five to get the final wicket of James Anderson, as he gloved one off Ravichandran Ashwin to Ajinkya Rahane at slips.

England finished their second innings on 317 after Jos Buttler’s maiden Test century provided some joy in otherwise a poor batting display. The Indian seamers put up a brilliant efforts bagging 19 out of the 20 wickets that fell.

Virat Kohli, however, has changed teams combination in every Test he had led the country so far. Most recently, he left out Ajinkya Rahane from the first two Test in South Africa. This attracted a lot of criticism as India lost both the matches to lose the series. Furthermore, he didn’t pick Cheteshwar Pujara for the first Test against England.

Don’t want any changes: Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag, while speaking to India TV, was not sure if the visitors will go into the fourth Test without any changes. But, personally, Sehwag admitted that he doesn’t want any changes in the playing XI.

Sehwag believed that the team is looking balanced and strong which can do well consistently.

It is difficult to say that there won’t be any changes. I personally don’t want changes for the next Test but he (Kohli) might not. The team looks balanced and strong with a good pace attack and Ashwin in good form. The openers are doing well and the middle order also played well at Trent Bridge,” Virender Sehwag said.

India trails the five-match Test series by 2-1 with two matches still to play.
