Ben Stokes’ pending court case did little to affect his market value as the Rajasthan Royals paid 12.5 crores to draft him for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL).
In 2017, Stokes became the expensive overseas players, and his performance in the middle earned his most valuable player of the tournament. He played a significant role in Pune’s success last year.
He will be joined by England hard-hitting wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler and young Jofra Archer.
Stokes took to Twitter to express that he is excited to represent Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming IPL. He is also delighted to play alongside his countrymen Jos Buttler.

“Buzzing to be representing @rajasthanroyals in this years IPl and great to be playing alongside @josbuttler,” Stokes tweeted.
Rajasthan, who is coming back to the cash-rich tournament after serving a two-year ban is on a mission to build a strong side to fight for the championship.
