There is no doubt about the fact that Bumrah is going to feel on the top of the world after bowling India to a winning position. In just four matches into his Test career, Bumrah has looked like a matured customer and has already cemented his place in the Test team.

The hosts set an improbable victory target of 521 to England in the third Test. The match was almost sealed by then. It was entirely in India’s grasp when they managed to take four wickets for just 62 runs on day four.

It was splendid bowling from Ishant Sharma and Bumrah initially. The latter bagged the prized wicket of Joe Root which put England further in pressure.

However, after the fall of four wickets, it was a brilliant partnership of 169 runs between Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes which helped England claw their way back into the match. In the meanwhile, Jos Buttler reached his maiden Test century and treated the crowd to some beautiful strokeplay.

However, it was a match-winning spell from Jasprit Bumrah with the 2nd new ball which almost sealed the game for India. After setting up both the batsmen with a brilliant opening over, he bagged the wicket of Jos Buttler with a sharp incoming delivery. Jonny Bairstow got castled on the very first ball he faced. It was a superb delivery which breached his defence from the outside.
