To bring the live update regarding the second day of the third Test match between England and India at Trent Bridge is something positive. However, the match is likely to get a 15-minute delay from the scheduled IST 3:00 PM following a slight drizzle.
BCCI in its tweet mentioned that covers are still on the field.

The tweet reads, “the covers are on, and it looks like we’ll have a delayed start.”
However, the latest report suggested the groundsmen are up on their feet to take off the covers.
India will resume its batting on 307 for the loss of six wickets. Virat Kohli-led side will be eyeing for a big total so that there will be no chance for England to come back in this all-important Test match.
Earlier on day one on Saturday (August 18), England won the toss and decided to go with the bowling option first. However, Indian batters proved this decision from Joe Root pretty wrong as of now.

India found itself in a blessing in disguise mode as it was easy to bat on as compared to the previous Test matches held at Edgbaston and Lord’s respectively.
Shikhar Dhawan, who featured in the third Test along with KL Rahul put an opening partnership of 60 runs.
Virat Kohli once again dominates the batting chart. Interestingly, he has now the most runs in overseas conditions as Indian skipper.
Unfortunately, he fell short of just three runs to score a second ton on this United Kingdom (UK) tour. It was Adil Rashid, who dismissed Kohli on 97.
The decisive point for the Indian team is that the vice-captain, Ajinkya Rahane found his feet. Rahane got a half-century after 12 consecutive low scores.
The debutant Rishabh Pant is unbeaten on 22 that includes six and two boundaries. Indian fans would be hoping that it would not be a long delay.
