The former skipper of England, Nasser Hussain feels it was the perfect storm for India on day two of the Lord’s Test.
Nasser thinks rain added spice to the game by making pitch into a crispy one. However, he admitted that batting is not an easy job to do on a track like that.
Nasser Hussain shared a laurel on Jimmy Anderson and Chris Woakes. He said no doubt conditions were suiting for the swing bowling, but English bowlers fantastically nailed their lengths. Nasser Hussain further added it was merely a brilliant show from the bowlers that included some unplayable stuff.
The former skipper who is doing services as a commentator also talked about the last tour of India to England. During India’s previous match at Lord’s, after preparing a green wicket, England bowlers bowled short stuff. It helped Indian batters to ease their nerves and let them off the hook.

Nasser Hussain also talked about difficulty there could be to teach the bowlers like Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad after taking 900 Test wickets.
“In the past, people have said it’s hard to persuade two blokes with 900-odd Test wickets between them to pitch the ball further up than they are used to. And, in fairness, Anderson and Broad have always been able to point to their excellent records as proof that they know what they’re doing.” Nasser said.
He praised skipper Joe Root for taking England to such newer heights where they are judging the conditions very quickly.
However, India was bowled out for a mediocre score of 107 on day two. Jimmy Anderson was the hero of England who took the 20th five-for of his career.
