Off-spin has always been considered as a pretty easy bowling option in the game of cricket. However, there are few great bowlers who differentiated the things and showed the world how lethal option it can be. Off all, Graeme Swann is the wrecker-in-chief who asserted a word on Indian off-spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin.

The former English spinner quoted that Ravichandran Ashwin is the best off-spinner available in the current crop of cricketers. He also spoke on the next best in the business of Nathan Lyon from Australia.

Graeme Swann is pretty impressed with Ashwin for his performance in the ongoing series. He felt that Ashwin applied himself brilliantly to deliver the required goods for India under difficult circumstances.

”Ashwin is easily the best off-spinner in the world. His record in the subcontinent is phenomenal. I loved the way he bowled at Edgbaston (in the first Test),” Graeme Swann said while speaking to Times of India.

”Australia’s Nathan Lyon has come up brilliantly. I am impressed by the fact that he has been successful back home. He hasn’t been as effective in England. I would keep Ashwin just ahead of him because of the variations that he has, in addition to being brilliantly consistent,” Graeme Swann added.

The injury might rule Ashwin out of 4th Test:

Meanwhile, one of the consistent performer for India in the ongoing series, Ashwin might find it difficult to play at Southampton. He aggravated a hip injury during the 3rd Test at Trentbridge which might rule him out of 4th Test.

Ravichandran Ashwin has come very well for India and his absence might hurt the team at a crucial stage. In the meantime, it opens the gate for Ravindra Jadeja who is eager to perform for the team with his all-round ability.
