Team India opener KL Rahul once again failed to get going as Stuart Broad drew fresh blood on day four of the fourth Test against England in Southampton.

Meanwhile, the visitors didn’t take much time to wrap-up the tail in the morning session. England managed to add only 12 runs from their overnight score of 260 for eight – to post a target of 245 runs.

Mohammed Shami removed Stuart Broad while Sam Curran departed courtesy a runout following a solid throw from Ishant Sharma.

However, India didn’t have a good start as they lost their opener early in the innings. Indian opener, KL Rahul got clean bowled by Stuart Broad. It was a length delivery, and the ball doesn’t rise much to see castling KL Rahul’s timber.

Broad struck with the first ball from his second over with a superb delivery to put India on the backfoot.

KL Rahul was struggling to get going and thus departed after a seven-ball duck. He couldn’t have done much with the length delivery.

However, it looks like he was not ready for the delivery. Broad was thoroughly pumped up with the wicket. However, there was a thin edge on the bat, but then it touched the toe end and rolled over the stumps.

Furthermore, Rahul didn’t score much in the series. He played the first Test match and had scored four runs in the first innings following 13 runs in the second innings. Thereafter, he again failed to perform in the second Test wherein he scored 18 runs in the match. KL Rahul showed some temperament in the last Test match scoring 59 runs in the game.

Also, India won the third Trent Bridge Test match by 203 runs.
