Team India opener in the limited-overs format, Rohit Sharma is enjoying his time off the field. The explosive batsman is currently not a part of India’s Test squad which is currently fighting it out in a five-match Test series against England. He is enjoying his time in Paris. Currently, the second Test is underway at Lord’s and Rohit was hoping to be in the dressing room and enjoying the enrichening experience and the view of the iconic stadium in London.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Rohit shared a picture of himself with a caption which really goes on to prove how dearly he is missing the dressing room and being part of the Team to make it to the Lord’s balcony.

“Would have preferred to be in the Lord’s balcony with a view of the ground but I’ll settle for this for now,” Rohit wrote.

The opener smashed a couple of centuries during the limited-overs series against England. He was at his imperious best during the final and the deciding Twenty20 International at Bristol.

Moreover, the Hitman smashed the English bowlers all around the park during a sensational display of batsmanship. Courtesy his brilliant knock, India continued their dominant run in 20-over cricket. They went onto win the series by a 2-1 margin.

Rohit Sharma is a different white-ball player:

He was at his phenomenal best even in the opening One-day International. The star performer remained unbeaten on 137. Also, he ensured India reached the target or 269 with utmost ease in the end.

In addition, it was a special knock which gave India a 1-0 lead in the three-match series under the leadership of Virat Kohli. They went onto lose the series in the end by a 2-1 margin. However, Rohit’s knock had harboured hopes of a sensational series victory for India.

On the other side, Rohit has been in and out of the Test side. He has not performed to his potential especially in overseas conditions.

However, there has been a huge demand of giving Rohit Sharma a chance in the opening position owing to the longest format. As of now, he missed this time around to play at Lord’s while donning the whites for the national team.

Given the dismal performance of the Indian openers in the recent past, it could be an option in the future tours.
