Eoin Morgan has signed a lucrative deal to become one of the five iconic players in the new Twenty20 league in the United Arab Emirates(UAE). The southpaw, Morgan signed a contract worth £270,000 to play in the five-team competition known as UAE T20X League.

However, it is going to be scheduled between December 19 and January 11 next year. Andre Russell and David Miller were the first two iconic players to be brought in the tournament by the Emirates Cricket Board.

However, former South African skipper, AB de Villiers will play the vital role as the ‘global ambassador’ for the tournament. The organizers have indicated Steven Smith and David Warner to participate in the competition. Moreover, they will not represent in the Big Bash League (BBL).

The tournament is yet not confirmed as it is only in its initial stage. There can be a possibility of clashes with the BBL. The Australian players can earn a considerable amount in the UAE T20X tournament.

Morgan will lead Kerala Kings in the ten-over league in UAE. Morgan rises to the England one-day captaincy in slightly chaotic circumstances less than two months out from the 2015 World Cup.
Meanwhile, the England limited-over batter is blowing hot and cold with his form with the bat. He has lacked consistency in the domestic matches for his side Middlesex.

He will be a massive boost to any team with the amount of experience he has behind his back. Morgan is capable of assessing the situations and pace his innings.

Moreover, the English left-hander, Morgan has scored plenty of runs in the middle order for his nation. He played 259 T20 matches scoring 5,507 runs with a strike rate of 127.89. His highest individual score was 90. He played his last T20 match for Middlesex against Sussex at Hove on Aug 17, 2018.

With the introduction of Eoin Morgan in the T20X League of UAE, it would further push other marquee players to give a try owing to the fresh tournament.
