Team India all-rounder Kedar Jadhav has made a comeback to the One-Day International squad for the three-match series against West Indies. With the Men in Blues playing Twenty20 Internationals more, Jadhav has been out of the national side after losing his place in the shortest format of the game. Jadhav last turned out for India during the ODI series against the Caribbeans soon after the ICC World Cup, where they won convincingly.

There has been a mixed opinion with Kedar Jadhav’s return to the ODI side. He has had a poor run with Virat Kohli & Co for almost a year now including the World Cup in England. While the presence of MS Dhoni made him a reliable off-spin bowler but Jadhav has lost his rhythm with the bat. The Maharashtra-born cricketer went back to domestic cricket to find the touch but has been largely unsuccessful.

Kedar Jadhav trolled on Twitter

Kedar Jadhav has managed only one half-century in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Hyderabad but the selectors have shown trust in the 34-year all-rounder. He is the only change in the ODI squad from the T20Is. Jadhav replaces another all-rounder Washington Sundar in the fifty-overs format. Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium will host the first match of the series on December 15 while the other two will take place in Visakhapatnam and Cuttack on December 18 and 22 respectively.

The all-rounder recently took to his social media site Twitter to post a picture of his own along with a cryptic message on it. Kedar Jadhav has been returning to the national side after almost three months now and will have to put his best foot forward to retain his place in the playing XI.

“Dil mein aata hoon, samajh mein nahi,” Kedar Jadhav tweeted.
