Federation Of International Cricketers' Association Backs Bangladesh Strike

The strike of Bangladesh players get new support with Global Association of Cricketers decided to back the players. The Federation of International Cricketers’ Associations praised the players for taking a stand together in order to secure fair conditions. Now, it has become even difficult for the board to settle the issue as quickly as possible.
Addressing the media, senior players like Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim, who were all present at the press conference, had clearly said on Monday that they will be off cricketing activities till the time their demands are not fulfilled.

It was announced by national Test and Twenty20 captain Shakib Al Hasan, the strike follows increasing criticism from players that the Bangladesh Cricket Board is not sharing its wealth.

Their demands include a 50% pay hike for first-class players, the expansion of national pay contracts, increased match fees in domestic four-day and 50-over games, and better benefits for grounds staff.
“This has happened despite the challenging environment for players to collectivize in Bangladesh and it is a clear indication of the need for change in the way players are treated in what we regard as an important cricket country.”
Meanwhile, BCB president Nazmul Hassan on Tuesday said it’s a conspiracy to bring bad name to the sport in the country. The president said the strike just before the very important series against India in India delivers a special message.
