Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya who is making a return from injury, by playing in the DY Patil T20 Cup recently grabbed headlines by scoring 158 runs in 55 balls in a match. His blistering knock included 20 sixes and just six boundaries, showcasing how much he loves to hit the big shots.

Sadly, his innings won’t be acknowledged by the record books as the DY Patil T20 tournament is not such a well-recognized tournament like other domestic competitions or the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Due to this reason, Hardik will not bag the honour of scoring the highest individual score by an Indian player in T20 cricket, just yet.

Having said that, we’ll take a look at five such Indian players who have played some big knocks in the shortest format of the gentleman’s game.
