On Monday, the news broke out that a gang of 15 members have attacked the selector Amit Bhandari, who was at the selection of under-23 for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Meanwhile, the former Indian opening batsman and an active member in Delhi Cricket Gautam Gambhir has reacted to the incident and called for a life ban on the player.

The incident happened after the non-selection of a certain player. The non-selection led to the heated exchange between the coach and the other two persons, which later turned into a mess. Both boys came with a 15-member gang to attack Amit Bhandari right at the selections.

Digging into his tweet, it read ”Disgusted to see this happen right in the heart of the Capital. This can’t slip under the carpet and I will personally ensure it doesn’t. To begin with I am calling for a life ban from all cricket for the player who orchestrated this attack post his non-selection.”

Actually, he replied to the post of an ABP News editor, GS Vivek, who expressed his concern to Amit Bhandari. He believes that goons might have attacked very fiercely, as they took control over 40 members in the venue.

That this happened to @Amitbhandari110 during @delhi_cricket Syed Mushtaq Ali trials. When entire Delhi probably -40 of them along with support staff and management was there. It says a lot about the brashness and audacity of goons to attack him in front of so many.”

It is learnt that the 15-member gang, who attacked Amit Bhandari were with Iron Rods, Hockey Sticks and Cycle Chains. Perhaps, it made the locals present in the venue to stay away from the incident.

After the incident, former Indian bowler was rushed to the hospital. He sustained injuries to his head and ear. Policemen are waiting for the statement from Amit Bhandari to start their investigation.
