Gautam Gambhir has emerged as a great social worker for India. He will be the first person from the cricket fraternity to address any issue in the country. Meanwhile, he supported transgenders in the recently concluded social welfare occasion. Recently, the Supreme Court has delivered the verdict regarding the controversial Section 377 which criminalised the transgenders.

The stylish southpaw Gambhir donned a Saree and Bindi while supporting transgenders in India. The transgender community came together at a Delhi Mall for the annual Hijra Habba, on Tuesday, organised by the HIV/AIDS Alliance India, the event, whose theme this year is ‘Born This Way’.

The function marked the empowerment of the transgenders in the society. Further, they tried to educate the people that they have got the talent in them to do the best for the country in all the respective fields.

Gautam Gambhir is known for his bold statements on the problems in the society. Meanwhile, he gave his words on the eradication of the Section 377 which became a controversial topic in the country.

During the event, Gambhir also supported the families of the people who lost their lives in the recent bomb blast at Sukma in Chattisgarh. Recently, he gave his word on bearing all the education expenses of a girl who lost her father.

Well, it is not only the first time that Gambhir helped the public. He also gave his helping hand to the great heroes of India who left their lives while protecting the country. He eventually helped a lot of the families through his donations and the charity camps.

However, Gautam Gambhir once again gained all his fans and gave yet another reason to love him after backing transgenders.

On the work front, Gambhir is currently off from the game of cricket. He will feature for Delhi in the upcoming Ranji Trophy season.
