Chennai Super Kings after a great start have slowed down in the middle overs as the team have failed to capitalize on the momentum despite Ruturaj Gaikwad standing in the middle. While the Yellow Army started off good Joshua Little played a crucial role in pulling the game back towards Gujarat Titans as he dismissed Ambati Rayudu who was slowly starting to look good.

With Ruturaj Gaikwad firing at one end, the CSK opener needed support from the other end but did not receive a lot from his supporting batters as they walked back to the dugout one after the other. The Irishman Joshua Little who was brought in by the Titans during this edition of the IPL auction pitched in a brilliant delivery as he saw Rayudu coming down the track and pitched the ball away and onto the stumps as he send the stumps rolling away.

Post Ambati Rayudu’s dismissal at the hands of Joshua Little, Chennai slowed down as Shivam Dubey failed to convert the start provided to him by his team as he failed to get on top of the bowlers and took far too many deliveries adding pressure on Ruturaj Gaikwad on the other end. The result CSK who at one point were looking close to 200 at one point ended their innings with just 178 runs on the board.

With just 178 runs on the board at the end of the 20 overs the Super Kings will be hoping for an exceptional performance from their bowling unit if they wish to get Gujarat under their total. Gujarat on the other hand will fancy their chances at this point of time with the team hot favorites to win the fixture.

Kane Williamson is unlikely to take to the middle after the batter got injured trying to grab onto the ball at the ropes. With Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha opening the innings for the home team, the Hardik Pandya-led side will be fancing their chances.
