Former Australian pacer Brett Lee is impressed by Mumbai Indians (MI) bowler Arjun Tendulkar, despite the latter’s poor outing in his last match against Punjab Kings (PBKS).
Three matches down in his IPL career, Tendulkar Jr. has already seen ups and downs. From giving away only 5 runs in the final over of a run chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to giving away 31 runs in an over against Punjab and ending the night with figures of 1/48.

Despite a bad night on the job, Aussie legend Brett Lee seems to be impressed by Arjun Tendulkar. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, he said:
“I think he can do all facets. The thing with Arjun Tendulkar is I have been super impressed. I feel he has been in wonderful fine form for the Mumbai Indians. His new-ball bowling is outstanding, he is swinging the ball, he is getting the most swing out of the Mumbai Indians. He is well-suited for the middle overs and with experience he will enjoy bowling at the death overs. I am all praise for him.”

Arjun Tendulkar did impress many with his ability to bowl yorkers. In that final over against SRH, and his lbw wicket of Prabhsimran Singh against PBKS.
Brett Lee advises Arjun Tendulkar to shut out the critics
In the same interview, Brett Lee had a piece of advice for 23-year-old Arjun Tendulkar, which was to focus on his game and block out the noise.
Arjun was, unsurprisingly, criticized and trolled following his 31-run over against PBKS.
Lee said that Tendulkar has his whole career ahead of him, so he should not heed much to what the critics say.
“People criticise almost everything. He is only 23 years of age and he has got his whole career ahead of him. My advice will be don’t listen to critics,” he said.
Highlighting how even his father, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, too had to deal with critics, Brett Lee continued:
Like his dad had to go through like he misses out and gets a low score…you got to back yourself. He has got some wonderful skills.”

Arjun Tendulkar will be looking to bounce back into form in MI’s next match, against Gujarat Titans on April 25.
