Days after alleging that the current Pakistan captain Babar Azam had physically assaulted her in a pretense of false marriage promises, Hamiza Mukhtar has now filed a police complaint alleging murder attempt.

The woman has claimed that a few armed men had opened fire at her vehicle near the Kahna Police Station in Lahore. According to a report published in Geo Tv, the assailants were on a motorcycle.

While filing her complaint to the police, the woman has alleged that she had received death threats on a regular in the past few days.

My life is in danger. I have been receiving death threats for days”

Mukhtar has also asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to provide her with security protection. The report further added that the police have confirmed that such a complaint has been filed and the matter is currently under investigation.

Earlier in the month, Hamiza Mukhtar had staged a press conference where she had revealed her relations with Babar Azam.

Giving her identity as Babar’s neighbor and school friend, Hamiza had said that the 26-year-old had repeatedly raped her back in 2010.

She had also claimed that Babar Azam had forced her to abort the child at false pretense of marriage.

Last week, Lahore Sessions court had ordered Babar Azam and his family to stop harassing the women.
