Veteran India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has appealed people to spread love and let go off hate in fight against the coronavirus pandemic. His appeal comes after getting criticised by trolls for lending support to Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi’s foundation.
Harbhajan Singh says ‘no religion, no cast, only humanity’

Harbhajan Singh shared a video on twitter where members from the United Sikh community are seen helping people at the Queens Village during the coronavirus pandemic. They are seen serving food to people without any religion or cast discrimination like they are always known to do.
Over the years, the Sikh community have come together to help people across globe, in any adverse situation. Harbhajan Singh gave an example of it through the video.
“No religion,no cast, only humanity..that’s what it is.. stay safe stay home..spread love not hate or virus.. let’s pray for every single one.. May waheguru bless us al. (sic),” he captioned the video.

Harbhajan Singh finds support in former teammates, fans

His tweet received over 6500 likes, 55 retweets and counting. Former India fast bowler Irfan Pathan also came out in support of him and commented “true that paji”. However, a lot of people were not happy with him extending supporting to a Pakistan player, and cited example of the attack on Gurduwara in Afghanistan.
Some fans were also of the opinion that, Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh, should stop supporting the Pakistan fans.
Yuvraj Singh had also tweeted video supporting the work that Afridi’s charity foundation is doing in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Following which, he drew a lot of flak from the fans.
