Indian spin legend, Harbhajan Singh wished AB de Villiers after the outbreak of his retirement news.

The South African took the cricketing world by surprise when he announced his retirement from international cricket with immediate effect.

The news sent shock waves across the cricketing fraternity, as no one expected him to retire before 2019 World Cup. However, once the news sunk into the hearts, the wishes started pouring for the Proteas batsman.

He has been one of the finest cricketers to have ever graced the game. AB de Villiers can be easily dubbed, as the most talented cricketing talents in recent cricket history.

The maestro recently featured for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2018 and was quite impressive with the bat.

Harbhajan Singh hailed the South African batsman as a versatile cricketer and insisted the cricketing world will miss him.

“One of the world’s finest and most versatile batsmen retires today. He’s played brilliantly till now, and the world will surely miss seeing him on the field. @ABdeVilliers17”, Harbhajan Singh tweeted.

AB de Villiers- More Than Just Stats

AB de Villiers has been one of the cornerstones in South Africa’s recent success.

However, injuries have hampered his later part of the career restricting him to just limited-overs formats. But the talented right-hander had fought off the injuries and played a crucial role in their recent Test series triumphs against India and Australia.

But when it comes to stats, his numbers are pretty impressive and will always remain amongst the top. Considering his participation in international games, he did not reach the very top in stats. The maestro was not just stats; he is much more than that.

The way AB de Villiers has reinvented batting in cricket will be one that the future generations will look to.

ABD has not just entertained the fans with his innovation but also managed to be quite consistent with the bat. He is undoubtedly the best batsman in world cricket over the past decade.

He might even be the complete cricketer of all time in cricket history.
