Even though the Indian players are yet to assemble for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa, Hardik and Krunal Pandya have already started preparing for the series on their own. The duo recently took part in a practice session, where Hardik almost knocked off Krunal’s head with one of the shots.
Hardik shared a video on Twitter, where the duo can be seen practising. Hardik can be seen hitting big shots in the nets. Krunal, who was bowling to his brother, escaped a blow as Hardik hit one back towards his brother. Here is the video –

For the first time in their careers, Pandya brothers look set to play an international match together in India. Krunal had made his T20I debut against West Indies last year. Hardik missed that series due to a back issue. Early this year, Hardik had also missed the home T20Is against Australia. In New Zealand, Pandya brothers had played with each other for the first time.
With Hardik set to return into playing XI, he might replace Ravindra Jadeja. The latter hasn’t done anything wrong in this format but he might have to vacate the spot for the pace-bowling all-rounder. No major changes are expected in the playing XI.
The T20I series between India and South Africa kicks off on September 15. Dharamsala will host the opening T20I. The second and the third T20I will be played in Mohali and Bengaluru on September 18 and 22, respectively.
The series opener could be halted due to rain as there chances of rain droplets coming down during the match.
Meanwhile, the selection panel headed by MSK Prasad is set to name the squad for the Test series against South Africa tomorrow. KL Rahul is likely to be dropped from the squad, with Rohit Sharma taking over as opener.
Hardik Pandya, who was rested for complete West Indies series, is in line to make a comeback in the Test side. His previous Test has come against England last year.
