India’s premier all-rounder, Hardik Pandya has found a new ‘cheerleader’ for himself in Ziva Dhoni after his whirlwind knock against Ireland in the second Twenty20 International at The Village in Dublin on Friday (June 29).

Meanwhile, Pandya struck 32 off just nine balls as India crossed the 200-run mark in style. Moreover, a 106-run partnership between KL Rahul and Suresh Raina propelled India to 213 runs at the halfway mark.

While Rahul cashed on the timely opportunity, Raina got some runs under his belt ahead of the vital England tour.

Furthermore, the team management experimented with the side giving some game time to everybody on the field.

The bowlers also did a commendable job restricting the side within 70 runs. The spinning duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal did wonders sharing six wickets among each other by bamboozling the hosts led by Gary Wilson.

Pandya also impressed with the ball giving away just 10 runs in his two overs at an economy rate of five and took a solitary wicket. During his knock, Pandya struck four sixes, and a four.

In addition, In two T20Is, he has scored 38 runs at a strike rate of 380.

Ziva cheers for Pandya:

After the win, Pandya, in an Instagram post, credited former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s daughter Ziva for his regain in form.

In the latest video shared by Hardik Pandya, three-year-old Ziva cheered up for Pandya when he hammered those towering sixes at the Malahide Cricket Club (MCC).

India now will move to England to play across formats. The full-fledged series will start with three T20Is on July 3 at the Old Trafford in Manchester.
