The India National Cricket Team is a force to reckon with in world cricket at the moment. In the recent past, they have been successful against South Africa, Australia and New Zealand in One-Dayers; beating them all in the bilateral series at their home. There were a few players who played vital roles in helping India winning all those series – primarily the unorthodox spinner, Kuldeep Yadav. The 24-year old has been a threat to the opposition, particularly in the limited-overs format. However, ahead of the 2019 World Cup in England, Kuldeep speaks on his journey so far.

If India win the WC, it will be the biggest moment in my life – Kuldeep

It was in 2011, under MS Dhoni’s captaincy when India last won the World Cup. In the following edition in Australia and New Zealand in 2015, the Men in Blue lost the semifinal clash against eventual winners, the Aussies. Meanwhile, under Virat Kohli, the Indian team will enter the mega event as absolute favourites this time. Apart from them, the hosts, England remains the other favourites as well.

However, Kuldeep Yadav, who had been with the team during glory days feel they have it in them to clinch victory – win the World Cup for the third time. Also, Kuldeep said if it happens, it will be the biggest moment of his career. Furthermore, the youngster added, he is living his dream, as he had never thought of being part of India’s squad for a World Cup.

“To be very honest I am still living a dream. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I will be a part of the World Cup squad. If India wins the World Cup then it will be the biggest moment in my career. I do not know how I will celebrate. The entire country wants it and if I can win it for the country then I will know that I have made a meaningful contribution to my country. This is my dream.” Kuldeep said in an exclusive interview to the Indian Express.
