Yet again Mayank Agarwal started off series with a massive tally to his name. The flamboyant batsman is continuing his success in the Test format of the game to cement his position in the side. Speaking of the same, Mayank Agarwal quoted that he is hoping to see the smiles continue for longer and longer with his performances for the Indian Team.

It was a brilliant kind of a game for Mayank Agarwal as whatever he wanted to do was coming to fruition. Every shot found the gaps, the flicks were a sight to sore eyes, and those massive sixes sent fear down the spine to the opposition. He displayed his hunger for runs and went on to reach the milestones step after a step.

During the course of his knock, one of the memorable incidents took place when Mayank Agarwal got to 150 on Friday. After rasing his willow toward the dugout, captain Virat Kohli signalled the India opener to carry on and get a double hundred. Mayank signalled to the dressing room, acknowledging the captain’s instructions by raising his thumb. In fact, he got there to register his 2nd double century.

Speaking of the game, Mayank Agarwal quoted that he is pretty happy for achieving those feats for the Indian team. He wants to carry on with the same consistency and thanked his skipper Virat Kohli for motivating him. The man of the match awardee ended his speech at post-match presentation quoting that he is looking forward to playing Pink Ball Test.

”I hope the smiles continue for longer and longer. I do practise six-hitting but not during the Tests. It’s a dream come true for me to represent the country. I am very glad for the start that I got. It’s great to have somebody like Virat who can motivate you like that,” Mayank Agarwal said.

”When I got my first 150, Virat was at the other end and he told me that nothing short of 200 would do. We played three sessions under lights back in Bangalore. Rahul Dravid had arranged that for us. It was a good experience. Looking forward to playing the pink ball Test match,” he added.

Well, it was a perfect game for Mayank Agarwal, which he will remember for a longer time. Now, he would be eyeing to add a few more runs to his kitty in the final Test to make those stats look even more impressive.
