I Will Thrash Brett Lee This Time - Virender Sehwag

Yet again the legends of the game set to mark their guard in the middle for their respective countries. Around 110 Retired players have signed for the upcoming new tournament named T20 Road Safety World Series. Meanwhile, the Indian opener Virender Sehwag is quite excited to face Australian fast bowler Brett Lee.

And also, the former India opener Virender Sehwag will be reunited with batting legend Sachin Tendulkar when the duo takes the field in a T20 tournament that aims to promote road safety. Sachin Tendulkar will be leading India while Brett Lee will take the captaincy reigns of Australia.

Speaking of the upcoming event, Virender Sehwag can’t wait to play the tournament. Sehwag quoted that he is excited for two things, as he would get the chance to bat with Sachin Tendulkar once again and the second thing is that he would love to smash Brett Lee all over the park.

 “I am really excited to get a chance again to open the innings with Tendulkar. Also excited to face Brett Lee. He [Lee] may have not experienced that big-hitting when he was at his peak, but now this is a chance for me to thrash him. ‘Acchi khasi pitai karunga’,” Sehwag told mid-day on the sidelines of the World Series launch yesterday.

It will be a five-nation tournament. India, South Africa, Australia, West Indies and Sri Lanka will be participating in the event. Jonty Rhodes will be leading South Africa while Sachin Tendulkar, Brett Lee, Brian Lara and Dilshan will be leading their respective nations.

The tournament will start on February 4th 2020 and will continue every year if possible. The league, based on the T20 franchise model, is being organised by Professional Management Group and the Road Safety Cell of the Maharashtra government.
