ICC ODI Rankings: Yuzvendra Chahal Breaks Into Top 10 Bowlers

India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has broken into top ten bowlers in the latest ICC ODI rankings. Chahal now occupies the eighth rank after making a jump of three places. The leg-spinner who took three wickets in the first ODI now has 683 rating points. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja also took a giant stride of 16 places to take the 25th rank in the ICC ODI rankings.

India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah strengthen his grip at the top of rankings as he has 841 rating points. On the other hand, Shai Hope who had a fine series with 250 runs gained 22 places to take the 25th position.

Hetmyer and Hope gain massively.

Shimron Hetmyer was another find of the series for the Windies. The southpaw batsman made a jump of 31 places to occupy the 26th position, to be hot on the heels of his teammate, Shai Hope.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli had another normal series by his standards as he was the Man of the series with 453 runs. Kohli added 15 rating points to his bag to take his rating points tally to 899. Virat Kohli’s deputy, Rohit Sharma also added 29 rating points after scoring 389 runs in the five-match series.

On the other hand, England’s captain Eoin Morgan jumped by four places to take 19th place after scoring 195 runs in the series against Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s wicketkeeper-batsman Niroshan Dickwella who scored a fine hundred in the last ODI gained nine places to sit on 27th rank.

Shikhar Dhawan slips.

Akila Dananjaya scalped nine wickets in the ODI series. Thus, the mystery spinner took a flight of eight places to perch at 13th rank on the table.

Meanwhile, India’s opener Shikhar Dhawan had a mundane series against the Windies. Thus, the southpaw opener slipped down by four places to grab the ninth rank in the ICC ODI Rankings.

Ambati Rayudu who is answering to the woes of number four batting position took a massive leap in the rankings. Rayudu moved up 24 places to take 48th rank with the career-best rating of 553 points.
